Lennart Heyndels (BE)
Brussels-based and maker of genial and sometimes exquisite electronic sounds: Heyndels sees his music as something that can even make shy people dance. (well, a bit).

Hunter Complex (NL)
Haarlem's answer to Vangelis? Maybe. In any case, expect sweeping, romantic synths, programmed BLEEPS and all sorts of 1980s cinematic CHUTZPAH. A fabulous 'live thing'. His last LP Airports and Ports received some gushing reviews, too... Jean D.L. + Jef Martens (BE)
Jean De Lacoste works as a musician and a video artist, creating imaginative soundscapes that provoke 'abstract emotions through the titillation of memories and fantasies'. Jean D.L. collaborated with Karen Willems, Mauro A. Pawlowski, Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth) and MachineFabriek amongst others. Jean is joined on this night by compatriot, guitarist Jef Mertens. Expect beautiful / atonal sonic landscapes.

Tuesday the 28th of March new edition of Snackbar returns to WORM 💿

This time you will be guided through three electronic acts by Lennart Heyndels (BE), Hunter Complex (NL), Jean D.L. + Jef Mertens (BE). Prepare yourself for something new and raw.

We will start the night off with Brussel-based maker of exquisite electronic sounds @lennart.heyndels and continue with Haarlem’s finest romantic synths (just like from the 80s) by @huntercomplex.

Next on the line-up is @jean_d_l who will be joined by @jefmertens. As a musician and video artist, Jean creates imaginative sonic soundscapes with beautiful atonal undertones. You can expect live guitar accompaniment provided by Jef Mertens.

Don’t miss the opportunity to lose yourself on the dancefloor to the sounds of filmic nostalgia and sonic comfort.

In anticipation of their gig in Hoofddorp (!!!) on Friday June 16, I picked up some missing Chameleons records from their webstore: the excellent 2001 double album Why Call It Anything, a reissue of their 1987 EP Tony Fletcher Walked On Water and a double reissue of Dali's Picture (demos from 1981-1982) and Aufführung In Berlin (a live recording from 1983). What a band!
