Oars and Ears is a coming-of-age film by Marna van Hal about a mouse who breaks free from the boring, repetitive life she shares with her 12 siblings. One day, she seizes the opportunity to explore Amsterdam, facing dangers along the way as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Of course, being a mouse, her coming-of-age story is a little shorter than most – though in mouse years, it’s practically an epic saga!
This animation is crafted from hand-painted drawings by Marna van Hal, enhanced by a unique musical score from Hunter Complex, which truly brings the story to life.
